Material Craft

The Weaving Technique

At the core of the Kinetic Seat is a hand-guided weaving process developed at FabLab Winam. Interlaced fibers give the surface its give-and-return quality — flexing under load, then springing back into shape — while distributing pressure evenly across the whole seating plane instead of concentrating it at a few contact points.

Every weave pattern is tuned to the zone it covers: tighter, denser knots where the body needs firm support, looser open work where it needs to breathe.
